 Our Mission

To become a God-centered community of obedient believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.

To become …
At Cornerstone Church we recognize we are in a growing process. We will always be in this process until Christ returns. Our desire is that as time passes, our church will continually reflect a maturing character and commitment to Christ, yet remain constantly aware of our need to draw even closer to Him.

… a God-centered …
We desire God to be the focus of everything we do . In a man-centered society, we believe the church should stand in contrast. Church is not about what God can do for men, but about how men were created to worship and glorify God. We seek to celebrate, praise and worship God for who He is, for all He has done and for what He will do. God-centeredness is the result of people who are seeking to fulfill the "greatest commandment;" to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul and strength.

… community of …
Community results from having common purposes, desires and activities. Our heart is to be a family of believers whose community revolves around our relationships to Christ. When we gather - one on one, and in small or large groups - we want Christ to be evident in everything from our words to our actions. As we seek to build our relationships with each other, community will develop and deepen.

… obedient believers …
Obedience is the result of submitting to Christ, trusting in His truths, and having faith in His provision. Knowing truth and obeying truth are two completely different things. Obedience is, at times, a difficult choice, but we want to put into practice all we know. Our ambition is to be careful doers of the Word, and to be a community willing to submit to Christ's authority and ready to actively obey His commands.

… in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We celebrate Jesus and His Lordship in our lives. He is our Savior, our Master and our King. It is at the name of Jesus that every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He alone is Lord. Because God the Father has exalted His son Jesus, our aim as a church is to bring glory to God through exalting Jesus Christ as our Lord.
