Video

The Cornerstone video team supplements our large group gatherings by communicating through creative video and live video.

Opportunities for Creative Video

Reporters & Writers | From journalism backgrounds to creative writing backgrounds, our reporters and writers develop the content for our creative videos. Reporters will set up and lead interviews and then write the final "script" for an editor to follow. Writers create original scripts for the actors, videographers & editors. For additional writing opportunities, visit our writing page.

Videographers | Cornerstone videographers capture images of life at Cornerstone during special events and day-to-day activities. Assignments vary depending on the type of project. From short advertisements for weekend services to short-length movies in special productions, the need for moving images is constant. Our team of videographers shoot footage with Canon XL1 digital cameras in the mini-DV format.

Editors | Cornerstone uses a digital non-linear editing system (Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro) to convert raw footage to a finished video project. Editors must be balanced in their creative and technical abilities.

Producers | Producers typically oversee the entire project, from brainstorming to working with the reporter/writer to making sure the assigned videographer captures the desired images. Producers must be able to see the "big picture" and understand how to direct a project from beginning to end.

Opportunities for Live Video

Directors | Our live video directors call the shots to our camera operators and run the switcher for our weekend services and special events. The director must be good at multi-tasking and have strong communication skills.

Camera Operators | Our team of camera operators use Canon XL1 digital cameras to capture the action of our large gatherings. Camera operators must be balanced in their creative and technical abilities while receiving direction from the director.
