Visual

You don't have to wear a beret to be a visual artist here.

Visual

Artists regularly contribute their talents by displaying their work in the foyer and hallways of our facility, by designing and building sets for our stage, by using their graphic design skills for various ministries and by designing & decorating spaces within our facility.

Opportunities for Visual Artists

Visual Art | The Cornerstone Art Showcase is an annual exhibit of art created by members of Cornerstone Church and the Ames community. This open house event is an evening of great art, live music, artist demonstrations and free food. It's usually held in April.

Graphic Design | Our ministries require visual materials to communicate their message, including weekly programs, flyers, posters and exhibition spaces throughout the facility. Graphic designers typically work on individual projects, assigned by staff leaders and guided by our in-house designers.

Photography | We have a regular need for images from life at Cornerstone, including weekly gatherings, ministry events, small groups and serving groups...to be used in a variety of printed materials and our websites. We also publish every other year a magazine called Intersect that is filled with God stories from our church family. Photographers are assigned to capture images to help illustrate these amazing stories by Cornerstoners.

Set Construction | Carpenters and painters participate in set building for a variety of events on our stage, including special productions and weekend services.

Facility Improvements | We include designers, carpenters and painters to redesign small spaces within our exisiting facility.
